Handheld effect.

As i've stated before, we wanted the girl to look drugged up, which added this twisted feeling to our film, what is she doing? what is she thinking? what is she seeing? We decided to add this handheld, so we can see the girls veiw as she sees it. We recorded this girl walking from behind, and also actor also took the camera at one point and staggered with it, so we had two types of hand held, as if someone was watching her, and her point of veiw literally. We got this idea from bair witch, which is a horror that only uses handheld in their film. I watched this film for a idea of what we could do with the handheld effect, and my god, it was good. In the actual film it added a lot more suspense as it included the audience that little bit more; it felt like the audience was there with the character. http://www.blairwitch.com/

This is a scene from the blair witch project, which I personally think it works great. You can see the actors true emotions and fear, we really wanted to try and work this into our film so thats why we decided to give the actor the camera so we can also record her steps/ her point of veiw as well as behind her, to show the full picture of what is going on.

The handheld worked well in our film, We are both pleased with the way it turned out.
